How Many Teeth

When I was in Elementary School dental hygiene was an important part of my socialization but had little impact on the regular dental checkups and drilling into my teeth.

At thirteen I got a horse and one day when riding bareback and with a halter she got spooked and as she approached a Dodge with large fins on the back I set for her to jump and instead she dug in to stop and my chin and a fin collided.  My teeth survived required braces and I think that did more damage in a way that caused more drilling.

After I cam home from the Air Force my childhood dentist had sold his practice to a new thing that is now the way most dentist practice under a group.  The dentist I drew while doing a root canal drilled all the way into my sinuses.

Continue this wild ride until about September year before last when I found out I would need my atrial valve replaced and the VA decided to do more drilling and six extractions before that happened.  I got better and then at 70 began getting more drill work and after a break due to my wife's health have been back at it.

The new doc I drew this time works fast and is pleasant enough.  Two more extractions last week though as we progress toward partials.  As he pulled the last one he said that was the one I would be cursing him about and he was not wrong.  Pain cream and generic acetaminophen have been my friend but I will certainly be ready to give them up.
